Challenges
The challenge was to create designs that honored Qatari heritage while also speaking to the global stage of the World Cup. It meant reworking traditional garments like the Bisht and Abaya into modern silhouettes and finding a way to weave in symbols that represented both the host nation and the participating countries. The balance lay in making these cultural elements feel intentional and refined, rather than decorative.
Solutions
The solution emerged through thoughtful detailing. Subtle piping in the colors of national flags offered a sophisticated nod to international unity, while official World Cup mosaics inspired by Qatar’s heritage and architecture were reinterpreted into wearable motifs. Together, these touches elevated the garments beyond fashion, creating a collection that was culturally grounded, globally relevant, and unmistakably tied to the spirit of the tournament.
